The issues
Data Security
Your redundant equipment will frequently contain sensitive data.
This information must be removed prior to its disposal.
Formatting hard drives does not prevent data recovery.
Blackmore's own "Destroyer" programme removes and
overwrites all data. This can be customised to meet UK and US
Military Standards.

Asset Return
It is natural that you would seek best return on any Redundant
Equipment. Blackmore's experience and contacts ensure that maximum
residual values are raised for all our clients.
We can purchase the equipment outright or alternatively can sell
your equipment working on a commission basis. Alternatively if you
would like to consider Staff Purchase or Charitable Donation
schemes, we will not charge for managing the programmes

Equipment Disposal
-
The increasing environmental legislation
ensures all IT disposals must follow stringent procedures.
-
Blackmore as licensed Waste Brokers and
Carriers, have recycling policies in place to ensure maximum
materials are reclaimed at every stage. These include component
replacement/retrieval, repairs to board level, and
reclamation of precious metals via smelting.
Any equipment or materials that ultimately cannot be recycled is
disposed of using a certificated process.

Management Time
The learning curve on handling and
managing Redundant assets in-house is tough. The infrastructure, space
requirement and skill base all require investment.

Unless this is a core activity our advice is to outsource it.

Blackmore can cost effectively provide you with the necessary advice,
systems and expertise.
